Ordering from "Stock" overview
When users identify that an item is either out of stock, at a minimum inventory level, or approaching its expiration date, they have the option to proactively order items from our suppliers, thereby avoiding any potential disruptions in stock supply.
Ordered items can be easily identified on the stock list by a colored indicator located on the right side of the chemical/labware card:
-
Green Indicator: This indicates that the Chemical or Labware item has been ordered, and new packaging will soon be available.
-
Yellow Indicator: This signifies that the item is currently in a user's basket. Authorized individuals with special privileges are required to confirm the order. Once the order is confirmed in the 'Order' section, the item's status will change to green, indicating that the order has been placed.
Order Status: Ordered
On stock details screen is possible to get more information about the order. If an item is already ordered there will be green banner on the top of the page. That shows that an item will soon be available. Order number is visible on the green banner on the top of the page (e.g.: Ordered: 2357023480). If users want to order new item, they can do so by pressing the button "Order Chemical" or "Order Labware" on the bottom of the page.
Order Status: Added to Basket
On the stock details screen, you can access additional information about your orders. When an item has already been ordered, a green banner will appear at the top of the screen, indicating that the item will soon be available. The order number is prominently displayed on this green banner (e.g., 'Ordered: 2357023480') for easy reference.
If users wish to place a new order for an item, they can do so by simply clicking the 'Order Chemical' or 'Order Labware' button located at the bottom of the page.
Order Status: Ordered & Added to Basket
In the event that an item is reordered after the initial order has been confirmed by an authorized person, you will notice the presence of two colored banners at the top of the screen. Additionally, the 'Order /.../' button is currently disabled. If a user wishes to order more of the same chemicals, they have the option to create a child chemical or labware item and request an order for the new child item.
