Alarms are essential for monitoring and managing your network effectively, serving as critical tools to keep you informed and proactive in maintaining the health of your system. These alarms play a vital role in notifying users about various significant events, such as impending expiry dates or usage expirations.
Alarms can be identified by the color of the signal element on the specific stock item. There are three potential signal colors for alarms, each representing a specific situation:
-
Green: The item has no alarms. There is an adequate quantity of this item in stock, and its expiration date falls within the allowed timeframe.
-
Yellow: The item is within an alarm state. The item will soon be out of stock or expire.
-
Red: The item's alarm status is overdue. The item is out of stock or has expired.
The alarm status can also be observed on the data list of the specific chemical/labware details screen within the Stock section. If you wish to receive notifications about specific alarms, you can optionally create a Material report for specific stock or equipment items within the lab. This report can be configured within the Analytics section of the Pregl Digital web interface.
The Alarm list section offers users a comprehensive overview of all alarms that are associated with specific stock or equipment items within the Pregl Digital Ecosystem. These alarms are categorized into two types and can be accessed by toggling between two tabs located at the top of the list:
- Quantity percentage alarm
Quantity percentage alarms can be set to trigger when the quantity of a particular stock item falls below a specified percentage of the packaging volume. This can help ensure that users are notified of low stock levels before it becomes critical. This provides ample time for the process of reordering and restocking, minimizing the risk of running out of essential supplies or equipment. Alarm is user-defined and can be adjusted by modifying the alarm settings.
When the alarm countdown reaches the predefined amount of item in the stock, as established by the alarm settings, the signal colour of the associated element changes to yellow. Once the quantity percentage alarm is no longer active, the signal color of the item shifts to red.

- Expiration date alarm
On the other hand, the expiration date alarm notifies users about the impending expiration date of stock items, offering advanced warning to prompt the need for item replacement or reordering. These alarms, which can be manually set by users, activate a few days before an item is expected to be out of stock. The specific number of these days is user-defined and can be adjusted by modifying the alarm settings.
When the alarm countdown reaches the predefined number of days before the expiry date, as established by the alarm settings, the signal color of the associated element changes to yellow. Once the expiration alarm is no longer active, the signal color of the item shifts to red.
