With an Equipment Report Wizard, users can generate a customized report that pertains to laboratory equipment.
Under the "Basic" section of the Equipment Report Wizard, there are three module options available: Equipment, Booking, and Service, each of them providing you with the specific data you need. To obtain instructions on how to create reports for these three modules, refer to the bottom sections of this article.
Equipment
The Equipment module option in the Equipment Report Wizard allows users to set up a report regarding registered equipment under this account. The 3-step wizard will guide you through the process of creating it.
To begin, select the "Equipment" radio button option in the "Select module" input field and proceed with specifying the desired elements for the following report results.
BASIC
Date range: The report will provide information on equipment for which changes were made during the specified period of time. If you do not specify any dates, the report will include data about all equipment changes made from the beginning until now.
Filter status: Under this report option, you can specify the current condition of the equipment you want to be informed about. There are six equipment conditions available to choose from:
- Usable (no other status is active): If you want a report on all chemicals that are currently usable, use this option. If this option is selected, you will not be able to obtain data from any other statuses (conditions) located under this option. For the Usable Filter status option, the date range input is crucial:
- INSERTINGS ONLY "FROM" DATE: Ensure that you specify equipment that does not have archive logs and that its last unarchive log occurred before the inserted "FROM" date.
- INSERTING ONLY "TO" DATE: Ensure that you specify equipment that is unarchived and has never been archived in the past.
- INSERTING "FROM" AND "TO" DATES: Ensure that you specify equipment that does not have archive logs and that its last unarchive log occurred before the inserted "FROM" date. Make sure the equipment has not been archived during the date range.
- Out of warranty: The report will provide data about equipment that is out of warranty.
- New created (use date range): The report will provide data about newly created equipment. Ensure that you specify the date range to make use of the report results. If the date range is not specified, the report will not provide any results.
- Service overdue: The report will provide data about equipment for which services are overdue. Only equipment with unarchived services will be included in the report.
- End of lifetime: The report will provide data about equipment whose lifetime is over.
- Archived: The report will provide data on all equipment that was archived within the selected date range.
NOTE: Out of warranty / End of Lifetime / Service overdue options are not mutually exclusive. If an equipment warranty has a date range within a specified period but the End of Lifetime date falls outside of it, the equipment will still be included in the report list. The same applies to Service overdue. However, if both Out of warranty and End of Lifetime are selected, the equipment will be displayed on the list only if both statuses are active simultaneously.
You can choose one or more options unless they are specifically excluded. For example, if the "Usable" option is selected, you will not be able to obtain data from any other statuses (conditions) located under this option.
ADVANCED
Brand: The report will provide data only about the specified Brand that you insert here. If you leave this input field blank, the report will not consider the brand when outputting the data.
Model: The report will provide data only about specified equipment models. If you leave this input field blank, the report will not consider the model when outputting the data.
Equipment name: The report will provide data on equipment specified in this input field. If you do not define equipment, the report will provide status data about all the equipment under this account.
Location: The report will provide data only about the equipment at the specified location. If you leave this input field blank, the report will not consider the location when outputting the data.
Description: The report will provide data only about the equipment that has a specified description. If you leave this input field blank, the report will not consider the description log when outputting the data.
USERS & LAB
Lab: The report will provide you with data about the equipment in the specified lab.
Users: The report will give you a status report of equipment whose status was changed by selected users. If none of the users is specified, the report will provide information on equipment whose changes were made by any user utilizing the license of the account in use.
