Materials that have been ordered and delivered but are not yet in use are securely stored in the warehouse. From this section, materials can be transferred to laboratories on a container-by-container basis.
The warehouse section on the Pregl Digital dashboard provides information about all unused materials. Laboratory items can only be added to the system manually. To add chemicals and labware to the warehouse, click the "Add Chemical" or "Add Labware" button at the bottom of the material list on the left side of the screen. A side-window will open with an input field at the top where users need to enter the number of containers in the warehouse. When containers are transferred to the laboratories, this number will automatically decrease.
In addition to the number of containers, users will also need to enter following details about the material:
- LOT number: A unique identifier assigned to a batch of materials for tracking and quality control purposes.
- Expiration date: The date after which the material is no longer guaranteed to be effective or safe to use.
- Internal ID: A unique identifier used within the organization to track and manage the material.
- Lab: The specific laboratory where the material will be used or stored.
- Location: The exact storage place within the warehouse or lab, ensuring easy retrieval.

Once the user clicks "Save," the material will be registered in the virtual warehouse database. Similar to the stock section, materials in the warehouse can be managed through actions such as duplicating, transferring, editing and archiving. Certificates and Safety Data Sheets can also be added in the editing section. Information about GHS statements will be carried over from the parent chemicals.
