Material Modifications (Add/Take)
Adjacent to the quantity information, both on the left and right sides, you will discover convenient options for manipulating the material's stock. These options grant you the capability to either add or take a specific quantity from the existing stock.
If you physically remove a certain amount from the stock, you can monitor the process by pressing the "Take" button. This action triggers a special box to appear, allowing you to input the quantity that has been taken. Upon entering the appropriate value, the system will automatically update the Chemical/Labware quantity to reflect the deduction. From that point forward, any subsequent actions performed on the material will be based on the revised quantity.
Similarly, if you need to augment the stock with additional quantity, you can utilize the quantity addition function. By selecting this option, you can specify the quantity to be added. The system will then incorporate this new quantity into the existing stock, resulting in an updated total.
When encountering an error reported by the system, it is advisable to check if there is an adequate quantity of the specific item in stock. In the event that you input an identical quantity matching the existing stock amount, a pop-up window will appear, requesting your confirmation regarding archiving the item in the inventory, thereby setting its quantity to "0." Opting to proceed with this action will automatically transfer the item to the archive.
Furthermore, to keep track of the material's manipulation history, a dedicated feature is available. By clicking on the "History" button located at the top of the page, you can access a comprehensive record of all previous manipulations performed on the material. This feature enables you to review and monitor past actions, providing valuable insights into the material's usage and any changes made over time.
