The Edit Stock feature, located on the web interface dashboard, empowers you to efficiently manage and modify information related to the chemicals and labware in your stock. We'll walk you through how to use this feature to edit the information for a particular chemical or labware.
When you access the Stock section, you'll notice two tabs positioned above the list of chemicals: Chemical and Labware. To initiate the editing process for a particular item, simply choose the relevant tab. Next, locate the specific item you wish to edit and click the button "Edit Chemical" or "Edit Labware" located below the Safety Data Sheet section.
Upon clicking, a convenient side-window will open, presenting you with a comprehensive editing interface. Here, you can effortlessly modify specific data pertaining to this particular chemical or labware item, ensuring that your stock information remains up to date and accurate.
Edit Chemical
Within this side-window, you will find a list of chemicals available for editing. To edit a specific chemical, simply locate it in the list. By clicking the button situated below the Safety Data Sheet section on the right side of the page, the editing window will open.
In this editing window, you have the ability to modify various information about the chemical, including:
- LOT: modify the LOT number assigned to the chemical.
- Expiration date: adjust the expiration date of the chemical.
- Internal ID: edit the internal ID linked to the chemical.
- Smart sticker: make changes to the smart sticker number of the chemical.
- Expiration Alarm: set or update an alarm to receive notifications when the chemical is nearing its expiration.
- Quantity Alarm: set or update an alarm to receive notifications when the quantity of the chemical is running low.
- Lab: edit the lab assigned to this specific chemical.
- Location: modify the location where the chemical is stored (e. g. Drawer 1)
- Notes: add any additional notes or remarks about the chemical.
Moreover, you have the option to add, update, or delete chemical certificate documents, photos, or external links within the editing window on the right side of the page. All informations regarding certificates are available at the bottom of the page under the "Certificates" section.

After making your desired edits, ensure that you preserve your changes by selecting the "Save" button located at the bottom of the side-window.
Edit Labware
If you have chosen the Labware tab, an encompassing list of all labware items within your stock will be presented. To commence editing a specific labware item, navigate to the desired item on the list and click on the "Edit Labware" button. This action will unfold a similar side-window where you can effortlessly modify specific data related to the labware.
Within this user-friendly side-window, you are provided with the opportunity to edit the following information pertaining to the labware:
- LOT: modify the LOT number of the labware, if applicable.
- Expiration date: adjust the expiration date of the labware.
- Internal ID: edit the internal ID assigned to the labware.
- Smart sticker: make changes to the smart sticker number of the labware.
- Expiration Alarm: set or update an alarm to receive notifications when the labware is approaching its expiration.
- Quantity Alarm: set or update an alarm to receive notifications when the quantity of the labware is running low.
- Lab: edit the lab assigned to this specific labware.
- Location: modify the location where the labware is stored.
- Notes: add any relevant notes or additional information about the labware.
With these intuitive editing options at your disposal within the side-window, you can seamlessly manage and customize the information associated with your labware items.

Certificates
The Certificates section is designed for the purpose of uploading certificates pertaining to the lab's chemicals, labware, or equipment. Once these certificates are uploaded, users maintain the flexibility to manage them by performing actions such as deletion, updating, or editing.
The Certificates section is organized into four tabs, offering users the ability to seamlessly switch between the following options:

UPLOAD: This tab facilitates the direct uploading of documents from the user's personal database. It provides a convenient way to add certificates and associate them with the relevant items.

LINK: In the "Link" tab, users can insert document links as references to certificates. This option allows for easy access to externally stored certificates while maintaining a streamlined reference within the system.

CAMERA: The "Camera" tab specifically enables users to take a photo of a certificate using their device's camera functionality. This photo can then be directly uploaded into the system, ensuring efficient integration of physical certificates into the digital platform.
