Under the stock section you can manage all data subject to stock.
The screen is divided into the top section, where you can add the physical stock, and the database section, where you can manage the main chemical data. For better understanding of the structure see the data structure:
The data structure:
Chemical 1 (Virtual entity that holds the core chemical data)
- Physical Stock 1 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
- Physical Stock 2 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
- Physical Stock 3 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
Labware 2 (Virtual entity that holds the core labware data)
- Labware Stock 1 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
- Labware Stock 2 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
- Labware Stock 3 (Physical item that holds specific data like LOT, Expire Date, Notes, Alarms, ...)
To create virtual entities that hold the core chemical data (parent stock items), you have two options:
- Manual creation of stock items available under "Create Chemical" on the "Stock" screen.
- Automatic import of stock items from the public database (for more information, refer to the section "Getting Started: Import Product").
To create physical items (child stock items) that hold specific data such as LOT, Expiry Date, Notes, Alarms, etc., press on one of the big blue buttons labeled "Add Chemical Stock" and "Add Labware Stock" at the top of the screen. To simplify and expedite the process, there is also an option to scan the smart code on the packaging of a product in the physical lab.
Attention: Only physical items are visible in the stock section. Virtual entities, which are created at the primary, main level, require a child product item to be manipulated.
